1915 to 1959     1960 to 1979     1980 to 2000

1960

  The Governor, Sir Alexander Waddel became Chief Scout of Sarawak.
  The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip visited Sarawak   [ February ].
  Abang. Naim and Mr David U attended the 2nd Far East 'Training the Team Course' at Camp Semangat, Cheras.

1961

  Mr Nicholas Rangkap Mai was sent for the 3rd Far East 'Training the Team Course' in Colombo, Ceylon  [ 03 - 07.03 ].
  The Governor of Sarawak, Sir Alexander Waddel attended the AGM of the Sarawak Scout Council as Chief Scout of Sarawak   [ 24.02 ].

1962

  1st Sarawak Patrol Camp held in Sibu.     [ 20 - 26.08 ].
  1st Scout Commissioners' Conference held in Kuching.
  Mr Peter Garland, Mr Edwin Jepon and Mr Kushairy Mohammed were sent to attend the 8th Far East 'Training the Team Course' in Manila, Philippines.
  28 Senior Scouts from Kuching and 16 from Sibu went on 'Operation Rodalong', a journey on bicycle to Singapore and Malaya.

1963

  Mr George F Witchell, Travelling Commissioner from Imperial HQ, England visited Sarawak  [ 31.05 - 08.06 ].
  Mr Peter Lim and Mr Alban Sanggat attended the 9th Far East 'Training the Team Course' at Camp Semangat, Cheras [ 11 - 15.12 ].

1964

  1st  Malaysian Governor of Sarawak, Tun Abang Haji Openg was invested as Chief Scout of Sarawak           [ 22.02 ].
  1st Sarawak Training Team Conference was held in Kuching     [ 23.02 ].
  Mr M Chandy, Chief Scout Commissioner, Singapore visited Sarawak   [ April ].
  1st Senior Scout-PTC was organised at St. Thomas's School, Kuching [ 24 - 27.04 ].
  Mr A H Weeks was appointed as the 4th Chief Scout Commissioner, Sarawak [ 01.07 ].
  Commonwealth Chief Scout, Sir Charles Maclean visited Sarawak   [ 23 - 27.10]
  The Sarawak Boy Scout Association became a Branch of The Boy Scout Association of Malaysia [ 03.11 ].
  Mr Kong Yu Siung led delegates to the 4th Far East Conference at KL  [ 06 - 12.12 ].

 1965

  Mr Kong Yu Siung was appointed as the 5th Chief Scout Commissioner, Sarawak    [ 24.03 ].
  6 delegates participated in the 5th Far East Conference in Singapore  [ 02 -    05.12].
  Mr Alban Sanggat attended the 7th Australian Jamboree  [ 31.12.65 - 08.01.66 ].

1966

  Sarawak participated in the 1st Malaysian Jamboree at Penang.

1967

  Sarawak Scouts Headquarters in Kuching was declared open by the Governor of Sarawak, Tun Abang Haji Openg, who was also the State's Chief Scout  [ 10.06 ] .

1968

  The Boy Scouts  Association  of  Malaysia  ( Incorporation ) Act No: 38 of 1968 was passed in Parliament [ 21.11 ].

1969 

  The  2nd Governor of Sarawak, Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang was appointed as the Chief Scout of Sarawak.

1970 

  A 186-member Contingent, led by Mr David U participated in the 2nd Malaysian Jamboree at Malacca  [ 29.07 - 04.08 ].

1971

  Chief Scout of the British Commonwealth, Lord Charles Maclean visited Sarawak.
  2nd Sarawak Patrol Camp was held at Santubong, Kuching to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Scouting in Malaysia [ 29.07 - 04.08 ].

1973

  The National Chief Scout, Tan Sri Sardon Jubir visited Kuching.

1974

  A 300-member Contingent, led by Mr Simon Lee participated in the 3rd Malaysian Jamboree at Johore Bahru, Johore [ 01 - 07.08 ].
  The Scouts Association of Malaysia Act No: 38 of 1968 was amended to Act No: 143 of 1974 [ 23.08 ].

1975

  3rd Sarawak Patrol Camp was held at Penrissen, Kuching to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Scouting in Sarawak. [ 08 - 14.12 ].

1978 

  Sarawak hosted the 4th Malaysian Jamboree at Petra Jaya, Kuching, over 3,500 participants from other States and 11 foreign countries  [ 24 - 31.07 ].
  Sarawak sent more than 800 Scouts, led by Mr Francis Fong to the 4th Malaysian Jamboree.
